ووجه مدعي عام مانهاتن ألفين براغ الذي يتبع مكتبه لقضاء ولاية نيويورك، التهمة رسميا إلى الرئيس السابق الطامح للعودة إلى البيت الأبيض في انتخابات 2024، في قضية دفع مبلغ 130 ألف دولار لممثلة الأفلام الإباحية ستورمي دانيالز، واسمها الحقيقي ستيفاني كليفورد، لشراء صمتها قبل الانتخابات الرئاسية في نوفمبر 2016.
وأعلنت محامية ترامب سوزان نيتشيليس في رسالة إلكترونية لوكالة فرانس برس “نتوقع أن تتم تلاوة لائحة الاتهام الثلاثاء”.
